In conjunction with Bethesda Cares – a community outreach program for the homeless – the Bethesda Presbyterian Church is collecting, storing, and distributing clothes for those in need. BPC’s Saturday Clothes Closet is open every Saturday morning from 10:30am-12:30pm.
Where: The Church House, 7611 Clarendon Rd., First Floor Wing (located behind Bethesda Central Farm Market)
Needed items: new/lightly-used and washed fleece jackets, sweatpants, sweatshirts, sweaters, and pants. Primarily warm men’s clothes, especially in larger sizes. Now accepting warmer weather wear as well!
How to donate:
- Call/email 301-986-1137, email@example.com in advance to arrange a drop-off with Debbie Crown – the Office & Property Manager or Reverend Chuck Booker – the Pastor.
- On clear days, including Sundays: drop bags of clothes on the 7611 Clarendon “Church House” front door step at anytime – please ignore the “Private Residence – No Church Business” sign!
- Monday – Friday, 8am-3pm: drop articles off at the Church office – park in our small church lot behind the Church House and drop articles off there with Debbie Crown or the Reverend Chuck Booker.
Tax donation receipts available upon request: If you drop off bags on the front step and would like a receipt, feel free to leave your name and address and we will send you one.
